Game Description

Ring of Destruction: Slam Masters II (1994) was the sequel to Capcom’s Saturday Night Slam Masters, taking the franchise further into fighting-game territory. Released in arcades, it shifted from wrestling rings to one-on-one battles with health bars, combos, and special move inputs more reminiscent of Street Fighter than pro wrestling.

The flamboyant cast returned, with even wilder character designs and exaggerated moves. Grappling remained part of the arsenal, but the focus shifted heavily toward strikes, supers, and competitive balance. Presentation was loud and stylish, with Capcom’s hallmark animation and Tetsuo Hara’s bold character art.

Though divisive among wrestling purists, Ring of Destruction is remembered fondly as a high-energy, hybrid experiment. It blurred the line between wrestling spectacle and fighting-game mechanics, appealing to arcade-goers seeking flash and excitement.
