Game Description

WWF Attitude (1999) expanded on War Zone with a larger roster, more match types, and deeper Create-a-Wrestler options. Featuring Stone Cold, The Rock, Undertaker, and other Attitude Era stars, it embraced WWF’s edgy brand with full-motion promos, authentic entrances, and Attitude-heavy commentary.

The gameplay kept the combo-based grappling system from War Zone, requiring players to memorize button strings for moves. While this allowed variety, it also made the game less accessible for casual fans. Match modes included singles, tag, hardcore, and “Career Mode,” which let players guide a wrestler through storylines and events. The expanded CAW system was a highlight, giving players creative freedom.

Though mechanically clunky, Attitude captured the feel of the WWF’s hottest period. It’s remembered for its presentation, atmosphere, and customization, even if gameplay fell short of AKI’s competitors.
