WWF WrestleMania 2000 (1999) was AKI’s first WWF-licensed game on the Nintendo 64, using the beloved engine from WCW/nWo Revenge. Featuring Stone Cold, The Rock, Triple H, and a roster of Attitude Era stars, it delivered an authentic WWF experience with deep gameplay and customization.
The intuitive grapple system returned, with light/strong grapples, reversals, and finishers creating realistic match flow. Presentation was enhanced with TV-style intros, detailed arenas, and authentic WWF branding. The Create-a-Wrestler mode was robust, allowing fans to build their own stars or recreate missing wrestlers. Multiplayer was a standout, with four-player battles bringing endless replayability.
WrestleMania 2000 set the stage for No Mercy, and remains beloved for combining AKI’s depth with WWF spectacle. It’s remembered as one of the best wrestling games of its generation, capturing the Attitude Era at its peak.
