Promotion Wars (2000) was a fan-made booking simulator that gave players control of running a wrestling promotion. With text-based menus and financial management, it focused on strategy rather than in-ring action. Players signed talent, booked cards, managed feuds, and competed for ratings against rival companies.

The simplicity of its presentation belied its depth. Fans could experiment with dream signings, fantasy cards, and “what if” scenarios, long before TEW popularized the concept. Though rough in design, Promotion Wars developed a cult following, remembered as one of the earliest fan projects to capture the spirit of wrestling management simulation.
