Booking MPire (2004) by Mat Dickie was a text-and-menu-driven booking simulator that expanded his indie wrestling experiments. Players managed rosters, finances, and storylines, competing against rival promotions. Though graphically simple, it offered surprising depth, with the ability to book dream cards and experiment with creative scenarios.
The fan community embraced it, modding in real-world rosters and arenas. Booking MPire foreshadowed Dickie’s later balance of booking and in-ring simulation in Wrestling MPire and Wrestling Revolution. While overshadowed by TEW in complexity, it remains a cult favorite for its accessibility and creativity.
