TNA iMPACT! (2008) was Midway’s attempt to bring TNA Wrestling to consoles, released on PS2, PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii. Featuring AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, Kurt Angle, and Sting, it was TNA’s first major console title and aimed to rival WWE games with flashy graphics and fast-paced gameplay.
The control system emphasized reversals and quick grappling, with a streamlined design that made matches accessible but somewhat shallow. The story mode followed a created wrestler named Suicide, who later became a real-life TNA character. While praised for presentation, it was criticized for limited content and missing match types. Still, it’s remembered as a cult favorite that captured TNA’s mid-2000s energy.
