Hulk Hogan’s Main Event (2011) was an Xbox 360 Kinect-exclusive game that attempted to bring motion controls into the wrestling genre. Players took on the role of a trainee guided by Hogan himself, performing exaggerated wrestling moves using full-body gestures.
The game featured cartoonish opponents and over-the-top arenas, leaning more into spectacle than realism. Unfortunately, unresponsive Kinect controls and repetitive gameplay led to overwhelmingly negative reviews. While Hogan’s star power gave it novelty value, it is remembered as one of the weaker wrestling titles of its era, often cited as an example of Kinect’s limitations.
