Wrestling Revolution 3D (2014) was Mat Dickie’s most ambitious project, moving his chaotic wrestling sandbox into full 3D. Released on PC and mobile, it let players control matches, careers, and promotions with massive creative freedom. Wrestlers, arenas, belts, and even referees could be customized in detail.
The 3D engine allowed for more dynamic matches, with brawls spilling outside the ring and into interactive environments. While the graphics were crude and the mechanics clunky, its sandbox appeal drew millions of fans. Wrestling Revolution 3D became a cultural phenomenon in indie wrestling gaming, laying the groundwork for Wrestling Empire on Switch years later.
