- HOPW News
Hey everyone — I’m really excited to share that Home of Pro Wrestling has just launched its brand-new website, and I wanted to give you all a rundown of what it offers, what we’ve added, what we’re still polishing, and what I hope the community will get out of it. This has been a labour of love, so stepping back, I’m proud of how it’s come together, and humble too — because there’s always more to build, more to fix, more feedback to take in.
What Is Home of Pro Wrestling, Now More Than Ever
If this is the first time you’re hearing about us: Home of Pro Wrestling is a hub for fans of wrestling video games (past, present, indie, mainstream), modders, graphics creators—basically anyone who loves the intersection of wrestling and simulation. We host mods, skins, belts, logos, graphics, human renders; we talk about old games and new games; and we try to be a place where creators can share, and fans can explore.
With the new site, everything has been reorganised/refreshed to make that exploration easier, faster, more fun — and more community-friendly.
What’s New: Pages, Features & Tools
Here are some of the big things we’ve added or improved:
1. Fresh Navigation/Menu Structure
We’ve streamlined the main menu so you’ll find key sections more directly:
-
Home — For news, highlights, featured mods, and an overview of what’s newly added.
-
News — A dedicated place for updates: new releases, community announcements, real-world updates, mod-spotlights, etc.
-
Games — An improved games page so you can browse by title (e.g. Total Extreme Wrestling, Extreme Warfare Revenge, Pro Wrestling Sim, etc.), see what’s been recently added, popular games, and get context on what’s supported.
-
Mods — Central hub for everything mod-related: skins, belts, logos, graphics, human renders. This page is more carefully curated, so if you’re looking for a belt pack or a new skin, much less digging.
-
Toolbox — New and improved tools for creators. Think useful assets, guides, possibly modding tools or templates. This is meant to help people make things, not just download them.
-
Contact — Easier ways to reach us: for feedback, to report issues, for creators wanting to contribute, or just to say hi.
2. Community Uploads & Sharing
We want this site to be as much by the community as for it. So:
-
If you’ve made mods, skins, belts, logos, graphics, renders — there’s now a smoother path to uploading and getting your work out there.
-
Permissions and licensing info are clearer: who has given what permissions (especially mods for older games), how sharing works.
-
We’re also making sure attribution is easy: creators are credited, version tracking (if someone updates a mod or skin etc.), and sort of a “latest mods / popular mods” feed so people don’t miss what’s good.
3. Visual / UI Upgrades
-
Cleaner, more modern layout. Less clutter on pages, easier to skim.
-
Better display of previews: mod thumbnails, graphic previews, belts, skins — so you can see what you’re about to download before you commit.
-
Organized categories and filters: you can search mods by game, by type (e.g. “skins”, “logos”, “belts”), by popularity / recent uploads.
4. News & Updates Hub
This one’s close to my heart. There’s now a place dedicated exclusively to:
-
Real-world updates: things happening in the wider wrestling simulation / modding world, game patch notes, announcements.
-
Mod & content spotlights: highlighting creators, new mod packs, interesting graphics, etc.
-
Graphics / Skins / Belts sections under “Latest Graphics” etc., so it’s easy to see what’s fresh.
5. The Toolbox / Creator Support Resources
Because so many of you create, we wanted to lower the barriers:
-
Templates or example assets (e.g. logo templates, belt mockups, render guidelines).
-
Guides or how-tos (e.g. “How to make a skin for TEW”, or “How to package a mod properly”, or maybe someday tutorials in video form).
-
Resources or tools that people need (fonts, image assets, render packs) linked or hosted (when licensing allows).
What We’re Humble & Proud Of
Proud:
-
Of having launched a site that feels more organised, looks better, feels more alive. It’s easy to get lost in mod archives; we hope ours doesn’t feel like that.
-
Of the contributors: mod-makers, graphic designers, skinners, logo makers, everyone who has shared their creations, permissions, feedback. This is as much their site as ours.
-
Of the community energy: the fact people have already been browsing, uploading, giving feedback. It helps fuel what’s next.
Humble:
-
Because we know it’s not perfect. There are bugs, missing features, pages that need polishing, creators whose works we want to get in.
-
Because some desired features (leaderboards, version control on mods, maybe more community integration) are things we want to build out in stages.
-
Because this still depends on people: creators uploading, users reporting issues, suggestions, moderation, upkeep. It takes a community to keep this alive.
What You Can Do / How You Can Help
To make this site what it can be, here’s where you come in:
-
Explore & Give Feedback — If you see something that’s confusing, missing, or you think should be done better (layout, navigation, typo, broken link), let me/us know.
-
Create & Share — If you make mods, graphics, belts, skins, whatever — upload them. Try to include previews, version info. If you want help making something (e.g. a skin), the toolbox / guides might help, and we want to keep adding those.
-
Spread the Word — If there are forums, Discords, groups interested in wrestling sims, modding, or graphics, telling people about Home of Pro Wrestling helps the site grow and more people get to benefit.
-
Support / Moderation / Ideas — If people want to help moderate uploads, help curate featured content, suggest new features, designs, etc., that’d be amazing. This is better if it’s a shared effort.
What’s Coming
While the site is “launched”, there are features we are planning / polishing, and things we want to roll out soon:
-
More creator tools, possibly interactive guides or video tutorials.
-
A “popular content” leaderboard or feature section so standout mods or creators get spotlight.
-
Version histories for mods or graphics (so users can see what’s changed, when).
-
Better mobile / responsive tweaks (for phones / tablets) so using on smaller screens is more seamless.
-
More filter/search refinements: sometimes you want “skins for TEW IX only”, or “belts by artist X”, or “graphics under a certain file size” etc.
Final Thoughts
Launching this website has been exciting and nerve-wracking. There’s a mix of pride (“look at what we’ve done”) and the awareness of “we have more to do”. But I believe we now have a foundation that will serve both creators and fans of wrestling simulation and modding in a much more welcoming, usable, and inspiring way.
Thanks so much to everyone who’s already been a part of this — the creators who’ve shared work, the people who have given feedback, the folks who downloaded something and said “Hey, this is great.” If you take something away from Home of Pro Wrestling, I hope it’s inspiration: to dig into the games you love, to create something, share something, try something new.
Please have a look around, let me know what you think, what you’d like to see, or even what you’d change. I can’t wait to see what the community builds with this.
