Introducing The Smart Mark League Series
I’m excited to share something I’ve been quietly putting together: The Smart Mark League Series — a new community-driven project that mixes wrestling fandom with the art of prediction games. It’s still early days, and I don’t want to oversell it, but I believe this series has the potential to give us all a fun new way to engage with wrestling, test our foresight, and maybe spark some friendly competition.
What is The Smart Mark League?
At its core, The Smart Mark League (SML) is about channeling what wrestling fans already do — predict outcomes, debate storylines, recall history — and turning that into a structured series of prediction games. The idea is to create a season-based competition where people can test their skills, track their progress, and see how their “smart mark” instincts stack up against others.
The series is about “who guesses the right results.” It’s about combining knowledge, strategy, and fun across different formats so that every type of fan has a chance to shine.
Staying Friendly
I want to be clear: this isn’t about creating the “biggest” or “best” wrestling game series out there. It’s a small passion project. I know there will be rough edges — rules to refine, scoring systems to balance, formats that might flop before they succeed. I’m going into this with humility and the mindset that it will grow and improve with community feedback.
I’m not trying to reinvent the wheel, just build something fun for wrestling fans to gather around, compete in, and enjoy together.
Looking Ahead
The first season of The Smart Mark League is on the horizon. My aim is to start small, test out a few of these game modes, and see what works best. Over time, I’d love to build a regular rhythm — maybe even rankings, leaderboards, or special themed events (like “Royal Rumble Month” or “Throwback Trivia Nights”).
For now, though, it’s about getting the foundation right: making sure the games are fun, fair, and welcoming to all fans, whether you’re a trivia master, a prediction pro, or just someone who loves wrestling and wants to take part.
Thanks for reading this introduction — and thanks in advance to anyone who joins, plays, or offers feedback. The Smart Mark League is for the community, and I can’t wait to see where it goes from here.
